How much French still exists in New England?

I am a french speaking person who lives in Quebec but my grand father borned in Manchester NH and all his brothers and sister are from Mass. and NH. I know one relative who lives in Goffstown NH near Manchester so because my Riel's familly are from New England, i've always been interested by the way how french speaking pepole (franco american) lives today, do they still speak french, do they speak french when they meet at a restaurant once a week or whatever. I want to know more about franco american culuture and life. If you are someone who lives in New England, Louisiana or anywhere else in the States, i am very interested to learn more cajun culture as well and if you are from another part of the US and you live in a french speaking community, i want to learn more about it. BTW, i've been already to Manchester NH and went to a nice french canadian restaurant (Susie Q) if i remember the spealling, in 1998 and Lafayette LA 2002. You just don't know how i want to learn about the life of french speaking pepole in the States. Thanks You!
