Hi Leo, Great I immediately entered Blais for your Mom's surname. I usually update my database on Rootsweb after I've entered 500 people. I will try to update this weekend tho and send you the link to your family. I noticed that the main database only goes as far as your father and his siblings. Any info you have there would help a bunch to enter more descendants into the database. Again, you can email me direct at alorange@maine.rr.com
Yes, I am in OOB - a fun place in the summer- not so much in the winter! There are some family links on my website: http://.www.annloranger.com
I am also a retired CFO - now doing accounting and genealogy. I have one son, and two grandkids. My mom lives with me in OOB. I don't speak French but I do read it. I've had a bit of practice - I helped Andre translate the footnotes for the second book from French to English. LOL...

Rivard Descendents might want to read "Nicolas Rivard, Sieur de LaVigne, Captain of Militia" by Andre Dufresne

The first of two books in English by Andre Dufresne, "Nicolas Rivard, Sieur de LaVigne, Captain of Militia" chronicles the life of the first Rivard to come from Perche, France to New France. It also tells of Nicolas' younger brother, Robert Rivard, dit Loranger, who also settled in New France.
The second book, "The Rivard Family, Taking Root" begins where the first book left off. Both books are excellent reading and show how life was in the earliest days of Quebec.
