Nice to meet you. Actually, I have a daughter, not a son, but we are doing well, thanks. School is almost over! Lowell does still have quite a few French speaking people, but you have to know where to find them. It's a very diverse place, which is why I like it. Where did you use to work? I used to live in Western Mass, in Sunderland (middle of nowhere). Thanks for adding me to your friends list!
Salut bien Alain et Nancy,
First of all, welcome here! It's an honor to have caught your attention! In response to french dances and events in your area you might want to consider the Grange Hall up in Greenfield Ma. A short hike north of you but well worth it 2 times a month. My friend, and everyone's friend, Stewart Kenney and his wife run the dance there. Stewart brings his musician road companions through there in rotation and they always have a full house. I also have a very close fiddle friend in Amherst Ma. by the name of Donna Hebert. Google her to get more info. She is a great musician and resource person. But do consider the Greenfield Dance! Ask around and you'll get more info. Down here in Ct I'm not as fortunate to have such great music and dance at my fingertips. Atleast not yet.
