French In New England

How much French still exists in New England?

Paul J. Gutman

Shouldn't Young Franco-Americans Be Taught English and French?

Quebec and New Brunswick are not far from northern Maine, and French has also long been spoken in much of northern Maine as a local language. The Klan no longer has the power it once had in society, and more businesses are seeking bilingual employees.

Thus, fluency in both English AND FRENCH is both a CULTURAL AND ECONOMIC TOOL, and I think the young should have access to it. Mais, qu'en pensez-vous? J'aimerais bien que vous m'en disiez de quoi, car que vous le sachiez ou non, je crois que vos opinions comptent autant (ou plus) que la mienne.
